The harp at AChA
The harp brings a uniquely sacred shimmer — glissandos under a hymn, delicate arpeggios behind a soloist. Harpists are rare, and in the Australian Christian Orchestra a capable harpist is treasured.
Auditioning as a harpist
Grade 7+ AMEB (or equivalent) on pedal harp is our guide. A short video is enough. Given how few harpists there are, do get in touch even if you're unsure.

Most orchestral repertoire needs pedal harp, but tell us what you play — we'd rather talk than miss a harpist.
How often is harp programmed?
In larger sacred works and concerts; we program around the harpists we have.
