An ecumenical community
For Reformed musicians and singers in Sydney wanting excellence offered to God's glory.
You're welcome here
The Reformed tradition at AChA
The Reformed tradition brings theological rigour, a love of the psalms, and the conviction that all of life — music included — is lived 'coram Deo', before the face of God. That seriousness about excellence as worship is close to our heart.
What you bring
Reformed members bring depth of conviction, the psalm-singing heritage, and a refusal to do things by halves — because the work is offered to God. That 'soli Deo gloria' instinct shapes how we rehearse and perform.
We don't ask you to leave your tradition at the door — we ask you to bring it. AChA unites 20+ denominations under the Nicene Creed, and stays alongside your local church rather than replacing it.
Questions from Reformed musicians
Is 'soli Deo gloria' part of the ethos?
Very much — Bach signed his scores with it, and we share that conviction that the work is for God's glory.
Will my Reformed convictions be respected?
Yes. We unite under the Nicene Creed and don't prescribe positions on secondary matters — members hold their own convictions.
